George Floyd Commemorative Concert Announced For May 30th in Houston, TX

George Floyd's funeral was held at the Fountain of Praise Church until he was carried to his final resting place in Pearland. The all-white event will celebrate George Floyd's tragic death one year ago and serve as a reminder of the ongoing battle for #JusticeforGeorge (9:29) and so many others who have died unjustly, #SayTheirNames. There will be a week of activities in Minneapolis to commemorate the milestone, culminating on the 30th with this finale celebration in Houston. Members of George Floyd's family, relatives, VIPs, celebrities, political and community leaders, and supporters from around the world will be among the guests and virtual participants.
