After a 25-year hiatus, the iconic trio Tony! Toni! Toné!—composed of the talented Raphael Saadiq, D’Wayne Higgins, and Timonty Christian Riley—made a spectacular return to the stage. Their reunion journey began at the Ovens Auditorium in Charlotte, NC, with an electric atmosphere that transported fans straight back to the golden age of R&B.
As the performance commenced with the soulful rendition of "Wade in the Water," it felt like entering a reverent space, perhaps reminiscent of a church. A unique aspect of this concert was the band's request: all attendees were to place their devices in sealed bags, ensuring an undistracted, immersive experience.
